Fado begins at 20:30. The kitchen opens at 19:00. There are few tables, and evenings fill up well in advance.
How the evening unfolds

The doors open and dinner service begins. The first courses arrive unhurried, before the performance — it’s the best time to be seated.
20:30
First fado set. The room falls silent; the kitchen pauses while the singing lasts. Bare voice, three instruments.
01:00
The night stretches on in sets alternating with the courses — and somewhere in between, a guitarrada — until closing.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to book?
It’s recommended. The room is small for the demand and evenings often sell out. Online booking is instant and free of charge, for up to 10 people.
What time should I arrive?
The doors open at 19:00 and the first fado set begins at 20:30. To dine calmly before the performance, we recommend arriving between 19:00 and 20:00.
How much does the evening cost?
The tasting menu is €72 per person; the wine pairing, chosen by the house, is +€30 (or +€50 for the reserve selection). There is no show ticket — fado is part of the evening.

At Rua do Norte 91, in Bairro Alto, Lisbon — a few minutes’ walk from Chiado. Look for the tiled façade by Thomaz de Mello, today classified municipal heritage.
